The sweetest of all squash varieties, our Butternut squash is from Top Tomato Farm and has a smooth, creamy texture making it suitable in anything from purees to mashes, to use in pasta fillings or soups or to simply roast in the oven.
Its shape resembles an elongated pear with a long thin neck and a round, stout bottom. It has a thick tan-coloured skin that must be removed when cooking. The seeds are located in the stout bottom of the squash and should also be removed before eating.
