Cheesy Hakka Roasted Brussels Sprouts
You loved our Spicy & Cheesy Roasted Cabbage Recipe last year that featured cheesy roasted cabbage lathered in Zing's Hakka Chili Crisp and Handeck cheese so much we decided to try this out on our Brussels sprouts from Top Tomato!
This Brussels sprouts recipe is perfect for your holiday dinners or your everyday meals. You might want to make extras because these cheesy, garlicky, Hakka Brussels sprouts are insanely addictive!
- 3/4 cup grated Handeck cheese
- 1lb Top Tomato Brussels Sprouts
- 2 x tbsp Olive Oil
- 3 x tbsp Zing's Hakka Chili Crisp
- 1 tsp Vancouver Island Sea Salt
- 2 x cloves August's Harvest Garlic
Preheat your oven to 400°F.
Cut the base of each of your Brussels sprouts and peel away the top layer. Cut each sprout in half and place them in a large bowl. Peel and mince or finely grate your garlic and add it to the bowl.
Next, combine 2 tablespoons of chili crisp with 1 tablespoon of olive oil and drizzle it over the Brussel sprouts.
Finely grate your Handeck cheese and sprinkle it over your Brussels sprouts in the bowl and toss to coat.
Drizzle a tin foil lined baking sheet with your remaining olive oil and turn your sprouts over onto the baking sheet. To get a crispy caramelization on the sprouts, flip all your sprouts on the baking sheet so that the cut side down.
Roast your Brussels sprouts at 400°F for 20-30 minutes. Remove from the oven and transfer to a serving bowl and drizzle with your remaining tablespoon of Hakka Chili Crisp. Serve immediately!
